Rebate authority

We show the rebates that are actually live in 2026.

The federal Greener Homes Loan closed to new applicants in October 2025, yet most Canadian solar sites still advertise it. We don't. Your estimate reflects only what is genuinely open in your province, right now.

What we'll calculate for you
  • Provincial Ontario & B.C.: up to $10,000 (solar + battery) rebate
  • Provincial Your province's net metering + the rebate trade-off policy
  • Federal Greener Homes Affordability (income-qualified, by province) program
  • Provincial New Brunswick + local rebates, while they last rebate
  • Federal Greener Homes Loan: closed Oct 2025 — we show what replaced it closed
Battery backup · the case

Your last outage isn't the last one.

In the U.S. alone, major power outages have roughly doubled over the past decade, and about 80% of them are weather-driven (Climate Central, 2000–2023). A solar + battery system keeps the fridge cold, the well pump running, and the lights on, automatically, for as long as the sun keeps recharging.

"To keep equipment from sparking wildfires, PG&E, SCE and SDG&E preemptively cut power to about 2 million people across roughly 30 counties in October 2019. PSPS events now recur every fire season."

Common questions

What Canadian homeowners actually ask us.

Is the Canada Greener Homes Loan still available in 2026?
No. The 0% federal Greener Homes Loan closed to new applicants on October 2, 2025, and the Greener Homes Grant has also ended. Many solar sites still advertise them, which is misleading. The real money in 2026 is provincial, plus the income-qualified Greener Homes Affordability Program delivered through your province. We show you what is actually live where you live.
What rebates can I actually get for solar in 2026?
It depends on your province. Ontario’s Home Renovation Savings Program offers up to $5,000 for solar and up to $5,000 for a battery, and BC Hydro offers a similar solar-plus-battery rebate. New Brunswick has a smaller solar rebate that is winding down, and Alberta has no province-wide solar rebate. Your estimate reflects the programs that are genuinely open for your address, with the fine print.
Will solar work if my roof faces north?
It still produces, but at roughly 55–65% of a south-facing roof. Our estimate accounts for orientation. In many cases we will recommend a smaller array, or pairing with a battery so stored solar pays off. The installer will tell you honestly if it does not pencil out.
Do you sell my information?
No. Your details are shared with exactly one installer, the single vetted partner we match you to, and no one else. We do not sell to lead aggregators, do not share with utilities, and do not run retargeting ads. You can opt out at any time and your data is deleted within 30 days.
Will solar damage my roof?
Properly installed solar protects the roof underneath it. The installers we vet use flashed mounts with manufacturer-approved sealing, and we expect a workmanship warranty on every roof penetration. If your roof is 15+ years old, we will flag whether to re-roof first.
What happens to net metering when I take a rebate?
This is the most important trade-off in 2026 and most sites skip it. In Ontario, taking the solar rebate means your system is "load-displacement only", you give up a net-metering agreement. In BC, net metering is being replaced on July 1, 2026 with a flat export rate. We model the rebate-versus-export-credit trade-off for your province so you are not surprised.
How long does an install actually take?
The on-roof work is usually 1–3 days. The full timeline from signed contract to switch-on is typically 6–10 weeks, mostly spent waiting on permits and utility interconnection. You can see where things stand the whole way through.
